Frederick K. Hatt, Esquire is an attorney with a practice concentrated in the area of civil litigation, including personal injury, commercial, construction, municipal and employment claims. He provides representation to Plaintiffs, as well as retaining a defined defense practice. He has served as a mediator and arbitrator since 1988. He accepts appointments as a Neutral Arbitrator in Underinsured Motorist cases. He serves as an Arbitration Chairman for panels of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas, Court Annexed Arbitration Program. He is an appointed Chairman of Condemnation Boards of Viewers for Berks County. He has also served as a Court appointed Master in Partition Actions. In addition he holds appointments as Solicitor to Municipal governing and zoning Boards. Mr. Hatt received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr. Hatt's entry into the area of mediation occurred as part of the University of Pennsylvania Law School?s clinical program. He has also completed training with the National Academy of Conciliators, and the Mediation Training and Consultation Institute. Mr. Hatt helped spearhead the prototype mediation and arbitration program sponsored by the Berks County Bar Association. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Berks County Bar Associations' Dispute Resolution Sections, and has presented Pennsylvania Bar Institute programs on Dispute Resolution. He has served on the Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Section, and currently serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates. He is also serving on the statewide Alternative Dispute Resolution Task Force established by the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Mr. Hatt is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
